ECC not showing up in Frontend Login Form

2 months 1 week ago #10958 by rusch
Hi,

we have a problem getting ECC+ running on Joomla Login Form.

Expected behavior:
The Frontend Login Form is extended by ECC+ with math calculation

Actual behavior:
The ECC+ question is not showing up in Frontend login. A try with correct credentials fails with:
Error
You failed the spam check. Please try again!

How to reproduce:
- install a fresh installation of Joomla 3.8
- install joomla demo data
- install ECC+ via JED
- activate ECC+ plugin
- make sure ECC+ settings have Login Form: yes set

See screencast: vimeo.com/268752412

Question:
Do we miss some configuration or face a bug?

Thanks,

Toni

Hi Toni,

thank you for reactivating your Support subscription! Sorry for the delay, I was at JaB 2018 in Cologne last week.

I've attached a new version where this issue should be fixed:

Hello Vitja,
I got the same problem as rusch. I updated the plugin attachet above.
After this Calc Check and Recaptcha have appeared only in Registration Form:
Link

Still not visible in Login form:
Link

Template/module override should be not a problem, because the same thing on Protostar/Beez3.

Can I get You acces to my site/ftp somehow so You can look closer?

Hello Again,
I found out that ECC+ works on Joomla core login form:
https://pbuk.3wstudio.pl/component/users/?view=login

But how can I make it working on (any other) Login Module:

Hi Tomtolo,

thank you for activating the Support subscription, sorry for the delay, I was on a business trip.

ECC+ is only triggered in some pre-defined forms. For instance, it supports the official login form of the Users component but is not triggered in the login module. But don't worry, ECC+ does log all false login attempts anyway and redirects to the login form if a threshold value is reached.

If the extension that you want to use does support the official plugin group "Captcha", then you could use a special version of the plugin - EasyCalcCheck Captcha: joomla-extensions.kubik-rubik.de/eccc-ea...eck-captcha/joomla-3

Have success!
