ECC+ 2.5-2 - JCacheStorageFile::_deleteFolderJLIB_FILESYSTEM

ECC+ 2.5-2 - JCacheStorageFile::_deleteFolderJLIB_FILESYSTEM was created by GJSchaller
My users are reporting an occasional error message on my site:

JCacheStorageFile::_deleteFolderJLIB_FILESYSTEM_DELETE_FAILED

After searching online, I found some threads indicating this was ECC+, but that was for an older version with Joomla 1.7

I have made sure that my /cache folder and all contents are CHMOD to 777, but the error is still happening.

Is there an option I can turn off for this, or what code do I remove in the 2.5 version to stop the error message from happening?
