ECC+ no longer working - page "loading" forever on register

ECC+ no longer working - page "loading" forever on register was created by joomla-g
For some strange reason, users can no longer register on my site if ECC+ is enabled. strange this is used to work.

When I click `register`after entering the capthca, the page says `loading` continually. if i disable the plugin, all works well.
I'm using it on J! 1.5.24. I updated to the latest ECC+ version, just in case.... no difference.

Any ideas?
