Gallery not showing

Hi

I have uploaded SIGE and looks exactly what I need. I have in the Media Manager created a folder called GeneralCadets which has 1 image.

I have created an article with the only content as

{gallery}GeneralCadets{/gallery}

So that I could add more images to the gallery and a slide show is shown

However, when I look at the article I do not see the photographs but I do see {gallery}GeneralCadets{/gallery}

Anything obvious?
