Okay, the failure cause in Peter's case was:

1. No secret word in the settings
2. Option "Send notification mail" in the menu settings (Menu - Your-Menu - Menu-to-EBR) was deactivated (=No). You should not change the standard "Use global" here, else the settings in the EBR (Components - Easybook Reloaded - Settings) don't work!

In addition, my hints for you:

- Update your Joomla! installation as soon as possible to 1.5.23!
- Change your password for the Super Administrator. You can use for example my password generator: joomla15.kubik-rubik.eu/ (on the left side)

3. Wilco, will upgrade to 1.5.23. Wanted/tried to upgrade to 1.6, but ran into problems.

The password is too unsafe. Here is a guide for good passwords: www.lockdown.co.uk/?pg=password_guide

If you don't need the new features (ACL...), you don't need to upgrade. Just update your installation to the current Joomla 1.5.23 version.
